Horizon Theatre Rep is dedicated to producing work from the international repertory. We strive to give emerging artists the opportunity to take risks, to excel, and to make their mark.

The Company
Rafael De Mussa, Artistic Director. Trained at Stella Adler Acting Conservatory in New York City and has a degree in Illustration from Parsons School of Design. Directing credits: In The Solitude Of Cotton Fields (Staged at Grand Central Terminal), 3XPirandello (NYCFringe). Acting credits; Off-Broadway: Written and Sealed (Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre) Cabal of Hipocrites (Actors Studio). Off-Off Broadway: Chee Chee. (NYC Fringe), Men Without Shadows (The Flea Theater), Powder Keg (The Flea Theatre), Nights of Wrath (Greenwich St,. Theatre) He is a member of the Spanish Institute and MOMA.

Ralph Proodian (Speech and Voice) has a BA in Liberal Arts, MA in Dramatic Literature, and a Ed.D. in Speech Improvement, all from Columbia University. He has taught at Columbia University, University of Connecticut, Baruch School of Business, Hunter College, Queens College, and C.W. Post. He is an Associate Professor Emeritus at Brooklyn College. He writes for the Wall Street Journal and Back Stage. Mr. Proodian has been Horizon's speech consultant since its inception in 1998.

Andrew Cohen (Managing Director) has a law degree from Brooklyn Law School and is a member of the bar of the state of New York. He also has a M.Arch. degree from Columbia University.

Caroline Harris (Development Consultant) has spent 35 years in Arts Administration, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising and Development for Arts and International Health Organizations. Four years as a consultant specializing in Research, Grant and Report Writing and Development Consultation for Arts and Education Organizations Recent Clients include American Social History Project/Center for Media and Learning, Association of Modern Chinese Art, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Jazz at Woodstock, Meet the Composer.

Andres Rodriguez (PR/Administration) serves as Vice President of Zemi Communications, a strategic communications firm headed by Henry Kissinger that advises companies from abroad interested in doing business in the United States. He serves as a Senior Advisor to Mr. Gustavo A. Cisneros, Chairman & CEO of the Cisneros Group of Companies. He holds a law degree and a Master of Science in Public Relations.

HTR Board Members

Edward Baron Cohen, Treasurer is one of the founders of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation, a real estate development company which has built many residential building across Manhattan as well as office buildings such as 3 Park Avenue, 750 Lexington Avenue, 805 Third Avenue a.k.a. the Crystal Pavilion and 475 Park Avenue South. Mr. Cohen is on the board of The Greenwich Reform Synagogue.

Christine Duisin is Law Clerk to Supreme Court Justice Cheryl E. Chambers. She was a state and local prosecutor for 20 years, most recently as Chief of the Special Prosecutions Section of the Attorney General's Criminal Prosecutions Bureau.

HTR Board of Advisors
Hon. Laura Ward has been an acting Supreme Court Justice since 1999, following her appointment as a Criminal Court Judge in 1997. She entered public service in 1983 as a Special Attorney assigned to the Organized Crime Strike Force in the Eastern District of New York. From 1989 to 1997, Judge Ward was an Assistant United States Attorney assigned to the Eastern District of New York.
